Scandinavian wedding traditions vary from country to country. In Norway weddings are typically small and only closest friends and family are invited. In Sweden the bride and groom will walk the aisle together while in Denmark the bride is accompanied by her father till she exchanges vows with the groom after which they join at the table.
A traditional Scandinavian wedding cake is called Kransekake, which means “wreath cake” and it’s made of rings that make up a tower covered with glaze and was traditionally filled with cookies and chocolate, or sometimes held a bottle of wine or a traditional spirit aquavit. It’s also sometimes decorated with crackers and flags.
