When holidays and weddings meet, they make for a very fun special time and interesting combinations. It’s also a great way to save money on gifts and holiday decor. You can celebrate a few days in a row, gather a big crowd of family, relatives, and friends, and rent a holiday home somewhere in the country for the ultimate winter holiday time.

Since winter holidays are mostly family holidays it would be prudent to plan your honeymoon some time after. But it doesn’t mean you cannot enjoy some winter retreat with your family for the holidays.
It would also make a great wedding venue. Take advantage of entertainment like skiing, hot springs, and of course spa, sauna, and other retreat kind of treatments.
With a holiday wedding you don’t have to puzzle over the theme. You can play Christmas love songs, decorate with holiday decorations, and serve eggnog with alcohol. Give away candy canes as favors and cook s’mores in a fireplace.
There are also many things you can do on holidays that you cannot do the rest of the year like caroling, playing snowball, or ice-skating. By the way, we love the idea of the latter being used for wedding reception.
