What Are Most Flattering And Most Unflattering Wedding Dress Styles?

Wedding dress hunting is no easy feat. You try on dozens of dresses and none seems to look right. But if you’re not hell bent on finding the ONE and only style/design then you can save a lot of headache and time by choose a universally flattering style and trying a few variations all the while avoiding the most unflattering dress.

A celebrity stylist Macaela Erlanger says that A line is the best option among styles.

I think an A-line is always going to be universally flattering. If you’re super petite, it’s going to be nipped at the waist and give you curves. If you are fuller figured, it’s going to nip you at the waist and hide anything that maybe you’re self-conscious about. So I think that’s the way to go.”

The style to avoid? Well, I think it would be a strapless dress. Yes, it can look impossibly gorgeous but if you miss the bustier fitting by an inch your chest will smush and fold in the most unflattering way instead of going up as in a push up bra or staying where it belongs.

What do you think is the most flattering wedding dress style?
